How We Got Started
The Marine Robotics Club (formerly the Marine Design Club) was founded in September 2023 and quickly gained its first members. We started working on our first ideas and brainstorming how we wanted to tackle the challenges of designing an autonomous submarine, and we hosted our first design review in February 2024. We then attended our first competition in August 2024, placing 15th out of 50+ teams.

Design our first Robotic Submarine
We have currently designed our first robotic submarine from scratch and successfully competed against powerhouse schools!
Autonomous path routing and navigation
Using the Intel RealSense 3D camera and a DVL we have achieved accurate navigation underwater.
Finished our first RoboSub competition!
We traveled over 20+ hours to Irvine, California and competed in the 2024 RoboSub Competition, placing 3rd in Canada in 15th Internationally.
